Meet Dr. Esmeralda Marcantel

The Professional Side

Dr. Esmeralda Marcantel, a Houston, Texas native, discovered her passion for dentistry through volunteering at a non-profit dental clinic. Her dental journey began at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School, where she earned a certificate in dental assisting. Dr. Marcantel furthered her education at the University of Texas School of Dentistry, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She continued to enrich her knowledge as a dental hygienist, then returned to the University of Texas School of Dentistry to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.

During her academic journey, she met her husband, Grant, a fellow dentist. She may also be seen at our sister practice, DeFuniak Springs Family Dental. She is an exceptional addition to our team, having accomplished both a career as a Dental Hygienist and now as a Dentist. 

The Personal Side

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Marcantel nurtures her green thumb. She delights in cooking meals with homegrown ingredients and fostering joy in gathering family and friends together.
